QiGong for Parkinson’s with Rose

April 10 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

While the benefits of this ancient healing practice are many, for those dealing with Parkinson’s Disease, Qigong is particularly supportive. Studies show that this moving meditation helps improve balance, stability, and gait issues, helping to reduce the risk of falls. The gentle movements are coordinated with breath and intention to help loosen muscles, combat rigidity, and develop more flexibility. This self-empowering practice increases circulation and mental clarity, while developing relaxation techniques. Movements can be performed while seated or standing. Supported by Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon, please share this if you know of someone who is dealing with this central nervous system disorder.
